We aim to alleviate all the obstacles that are involved within the business rates appeal system and procedures. We can also assist with the government gateway registration process, check and challenge appeals, reliefs and credits, multiple property occupancy and merges. We are keen to assist you with your rates mitigation activities. The process starting with the initial onsite assessment which has no cost is to establish a visual of your property and obtain the correct measurements and alterations if any. Providing all the information has been obtained the assessor will then go through this information with you and if at that point you wish RAS Property Consultants Ltd to act on your behalf, an agreement will be signed by both parties stating the charges for the service and the terms and conditions. The process will start by the client registering on the government gateway using our agent code and appointing RAS Property Consultants Ltd as the acting agent. This then allows the submission of the check and challenge appeals which is done by our experts. You will have access to all the information submitted by logging in to your portal, all updates in relation to your property will be through this method. If any further information is required we will contact you to ask that you provide the information requested by the Valuation Office, this can be up to date lease information or alteration dates or amendments. When the check decision has been reached this information will be available to you and a challenge date will be issued and the same process applies. Any reductions will be notified to you and us by the Valuation Office and they will send the information over to your local council who will amend the bill/bills and refund any overpayments.
